We are delighted to announce that we have received further funding for our food bank which is run in conjunction with Food Aware CIC, Tesco's, Co-Op and Sainsbury's.

Thank you to WELL Doncaster's Household Support Fund
Round 4 for a grant of £5,000 towards our 70 Pensioners' Food Bank delivery round.

Our new programme for September is beginning.

We have 20 placements available for volunteers. These include Admin, people to help in the kitchen and garden.

Are you free and looking for something new and challenging to do as you return to work/school?

Your community needs you.

Our volunteers Leah and Emma have successfully passed their Level 2 Food Hygiene and Safety Certificates with Highfield and High Speed Training.

All of us at Pioneer would like to congratulate them on this great success and look forward to seeing them both preparing some tasty and nutritious meals in the kitchen for our pensioners and volunteers in the future!

                     Employment Successes for

                           Pioneer's volunteers

Congratulations to our volunteers Tom, Jordan, Emma, Leah, Matt and Jane for finding employment in the local community through developing essential life skills at Pioneer Social Enterprise Ltd.

Emma now has a trainee waitressing role at the Eco-Power Stadium in Doncaster.

Tom has been working at M&T Haylage as a part-time conservationist and helping prepare bags for shipping orders.

Matt has gained a Data Entry position with STRIDE Yorkshire who assist people with additional needs in finding employment.

Jordan works in the tearooms at Jimmy Piggs and has enjoyed a fun day team-building over the summer.

Leah works at two admin jobs outside of the organisation.

Jayne after working at a senior level with Pioneer has found employment at a local care for the elderly organisation. We are delighted to hear that after just a couple of months she has already become their Carer of the Month.

50% of our total volunteers have gained work as a result of choosing to join our team. Although our numbers have increased we still need more people to help run our food bank service and join the individual-tailored programmes we offer.
